Due to reviews on laterooms
- we recommend these four facilities for accomodation.
One of the nicer ones on the list - the Balincourt was voted Small Hotel of the Year in 2007 in the Bournemouth Tourism Awards and it was Highly Commended in 2010 by the same group.
The Balincourt Guest House is rated 5 stars and is located very close to Boscombe beach in a lovely expanse of land. It's also conveniently on the outskirts so it is nearer to Bournemouth as well. All of the bedrooms look particularly fancy so if luxury is your thing it is perfect.
The best part about the hotel is that only Adults over 21 are allowed - this ensures peace and quiet during the holiday - so no irritating kids. The Balincourt was built in the Victorian era and became a hotel in 1926.
The Balincourt Guest House was overall winner and winner in class during the 2009 Bournemouth in Bloom competition - so lovely grounds, lots of flowers.
Corner Meadow is a four star hotel, slightly cheaper than tha Balincourt but equally nice, it is located in Boscombe.
There are plenty of facilities including the standard refrigeration, filtered water, double glazing in cots or twin/double rooms. There's a lot packed into this accomodation so listing it all would be tedius - breakfast is supplied and unlike the Balincourt - children are allowed (under 14's get half price accommodation!) Wi-Fi is also available.
Pine Ridge is another four start facility - it has silver award winning bed and breakfast. Not quite gold then. Like the Balincourt it is also exclusively for adults. There's not a great deal else to say about it. It is satisfactory and reviews are decent.
Wood Lodge is family run and four stars as well - it's a traditional English hotel with landscaped gardens which add to the scenery. The road leading is tree lined so you'd almost forget yo uwere in Boscombe. It's also less than a mile from Bournemouth's town centre - which is handy - but also about that distance to Boscombe's town centre.
